THROUGH GLASS

Since a child I have been fascinated with staring out the car window and watching the landscape scream by, blurring together before my eyes. Often finding myself with a long stretch of road in front of me I still find myself starring out the window watching the view change. It got me to thinking how much of the landscape one actually "sees" while passing through in a vehicle. Do we really take in all those intimate details whizzing by or does it merely blend into a common color palette with various shapes being thrown in front of us. I started shooting short videos on my iphone out the passenger window of whatever car I happened to be in. The windows were left up; separating the viewer from the world they observe. Each clip is titled the given name of the road on which it was filmed.
